Welcome to APOC York Branch
At the APOC York Branch, we are dedicated to supporting postal officials across the Greater Toronto Area by safeguarding their rights and promoting their well-being in the workplace. You can rely on your representatives to provide guidance, facilitate communication, and help resolve work-related concerns.
Our Association
The Association of Postal Officials of Canada (APOC) is a certified bargaining unit, recognized by the Canada Industrial Relations Board, representing OP-1 to OP-3 and SL1-S5 members who supervise employees responsible for overseeing the processes that keep Canada’s mail moving.
Today, APOC represents approximately 3,900 members across 28 branches nationwide. Our largest membership base is located in the Greater Toronto Area, while our smallest branch is in Prince Edward Island.
We take a progressive approach to labour relations, strongly advocating for the use of Alternate Dispute Resolution and Interest-Based Negotiation to build fair, collaborative, and lasting solutions for our members.
Mission Accountability Statement
We are committed to representing all members with integrity, fairness, and objectivity.
We will approach every situation with an open mind, seeking input and clarity from those directly and indirectly affected to fully understand the impact on the individual, the team, the collective, and the organization.
We will ensure that decisions are made based on facts, principles, and the best interests of the membership as a whole — never arbitrarily, personally, or in isolation.
We recognize that in our role it is not about us, but about serving and empowering others through fair, transparent, and balanced representation.
We will create and maintain a safe and respectful space for members to seek guidance, reassurance, clarity, and justice, upholding confidentiality and trust at all times.
In fulfilling these roles, we will remain accountable to the collective agreement, union policies, and the fundamental duty of fair representation.
